Bicycle : transport number one ?

More and more French people are using bicycles as a means of daily transportation. Indeed, according to a study published in mid-January, many more trips are made by bicycle in Paris. But this phenomenon is not only Parisian and is intensifying in Bordeaux and Lyon in particular.

Cycling facilities are expected to increase. From the design of express bike lanes in Paris to the creation of véloroutes (dedicated bike routes between major cities to allow for home-work trips), the multiplication of infrastructures will allow for an ever-increasing use of bicycles, and that's good news!

On a global scale, in 2015, there will be 4% more cyclists since 2000. In order to continue this good momentum, the Vélo-City convention, which is taking place this year in Taiwan, took stock of the global state of facilities and sought solutions to make the bicycle the number one mode of travel.
