The Overade Lum and Overade Turn use the same patented mechanical-magnetic attachment.

1. For the first installation, I remove the film and stick my magnetic support to the back of the helmet.
2. Then to fit the lighting, I tilt it and insert it on the little teeth.
3. I release it: it is attracted and fixed by the magnets.

Lum is one of the most powerful warning lights on the market (90 Lumens in flash mode! ±5%). It significantly increases your visibility in the near and distant environment. Your presence and movements are taken into account by other road users, increasing your safety.

Positioning an LED light on a cycle helmet increases your visibility as a cyclist. Installed high up, the light can be seen from a distance because it is less blocked by obstacles. This is not the case with a conventional bike headlight located on the rear wheel or installed on a seat tube. In these conditions, you are mainly seen by the rider immediately behind you.

The Lum helmet LED light has 8 different lighting modes (see below). This means you can adapt to any situation. Originally designed to be positioned on the back of a cycle helmet with the red lighting mode, Lum can also be easily positioned on the front of the helmet with one of the white lighting modes. 

This headlight complements your lighting system to give you a better view of the road ahead. It's also a highly effective way of being seen by oncoming traffic.

Lum is initially designed to be attached to an urban cycle helmet using our patented dual attachment system (magnetic and mechanical). But we've gone a step further to offer other ways of attaching our LED bike light. Using a system of optional straps (which are easy to install), our light can be attached virtually anywhere:

• On mountain bike, cyclo-cross and racing helmets.
• On motorbike helmets.
• On the seat tube for vertical mounting.
• On the handlebars of a bicycle or scooter with headlight mode for horizontal mounting.

The system can also be used to attach the Lum bike light to the frame of a cargo bike, for example, so that you can be seen by road users who may not be able to see the sheer volume of your bike at night.

Lum is one of the most powerful lights on the market. It's designed to maximise safety when you're out and about on your bike.

Depending on the display mode, you get the following power levels expressed in Lumens (to within ±5%):

• From 9 Lumens to 35 Lumens in continuous mode.
• Up to 90 Lumens in flash mode.

In addition to this powerful light intensity, the Lum bicycle helmet light has a beam angle of 220°! What this means in practice is that your visibility is also good to the side of your axis of movement. Once again, this makes Lum one of the best bike lights on the market in terms of beam angle.

Finally, the Overade Lum also has passive reflectors at the heart of the product, which reflect the light emitted by other road users.

Pedestrians, cyclists and users of electric scooters are particularly vulnerable on urban roads. The 2020 Road Safety report revealed that 178 cyclists were killed on the roads this year.

21% of these victims are killed or injured at night!  

According to the French road safety authority, at night, cyclists are only visible to other road users from a distance of 30 metres.
